Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) are infections passed from one person to another during sexual intercourse. There are two types of STDs, bacterial and viral. Using condoms can significantly reduce your risk of becoming infected with any sexually transmitted disease.

An estimated 4 out of 10 sexually active teens will get an STD in their lifetime. Although some STDs show signs & symptoms, not everybody will experience them. The only way to know for sure is getting tested.
